Detailed Description and background
The CPGR has been running ABI Taqman genotyping assays for over 5 years. The ABI library includes over 4.5 million SNP assays, including 3.5 million HapMap SNPs, 70,000 cSNPs and 160,000 validated assays. The validated and guaranteed TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays make it easy to perform SNP genotyping studies with precision.
Service Details
Taqman genotyping assays are purchased singularly for each SNP under investigation and each assay is able to perform at least 250 reactions. Customized assays can be developed to study any SNP in any organism. The workflow includes master mix preparation and real-time quantitative PCR on the 7900HT utilizing the 384-well plate format and offering optional fast real-time PCR capability. The sophisticated SDS software package provided with all Applied Biosystems® Real-Time PCR Systems facilitates experimental setup, data collection, and assay performance analysis. The SDS software uses an advanced multicomponent algorithm to calculate the distinct signal contribution of each allele of a marker from the fluorescence measurements of each sample well during the assay plate read.
Service Deliverable
Report includes the QC quality gate results, the raw data and an analysis report. Bioinformatic analysis and interpretation of data is optional.
Sample/Info Submission Info
From 1 to 384 reactions may be processed in a single run on each 384 well plate. Each assay kit is able to perform at least 250 reactions and each sample is run in triplicate. Concentrations of DNA per reaction required is a minimum of 5ng in 3uL for effective clustering of the data.DNA must be proven good quality with 260/280 ratios of 2.
