Samples are accepted at both extracted nucleic acid stage as well as at tissue or cell level. We have several validated extraction protocols which are used when samples
are submitted at tissue/cell level. Nucleic acids can be extracted from blood, animal and human tissue, plants, bacteria and yeast. Samples should be submitted in clear, sterile tubes and must be
clearly labelled with a printed label or indelible ink. Prior to sending samples a client questionnaire and sample submission form must be completed and returned to the CPGR. Before extracted samples
are used for analysis, or after extraction, the concentration, 260:230 and 260:280 ratios are measured using a nanodrop. Further QC is performed on RNA samples using the Agilent bioanalyser.
